When it is rainy in Waikiki and you’re craving something warm and comforting to eat, I’d recommend the delicious Sundubu Jigae or Spicy Tofu Soup at the Hotel’s Seoul Jung Restaurant located on the second floor. As you are ushered into the warm honey toned restaurant by the very respectful servers, you can admire the many photos of Korea decorating the walls. As you place your order, the waitress delivers hot tea and the delicious side dishes, called Banchan. Delicious kim chee slices, tasty bean sprouts, and steamed watercress for you to nibble on while you wait for your food.
Then the soup arrives . . . it come bubbling hot in a stone bowl! Soft tofu and vegetables with pieces of seafood dance in the savory broth. As you eat spoonfuls of the delicious soup you can gaze at the pictures of Korea and imagine yourself in a little restaurant in Seoul. . . sipping delicious and tasty Sundubu Jigae!
The Seoul Jung Restaurant is open from 11:00am – 2:00pm for lunch and 5:00pm – 10:00pm for dinner. Come and enjoy our little slice of Korea . . . . . .
